Model Data Sharing Agreements and User Guides
The HISPC Project produced two model data sharing agreements with a core set of privacy and security provisions for use between states and other entities, to resolve those privacy and security practices, procedures, and laws that pose challenges to the interstate electronic exchange of health information. One is an agreement to use between private parties and the other is to use between public health entities for immunization data exchange. Each agreement comes with a User’s Guide. These agreements can be downloaded and customized for each specific use with the guidance provided.

This video was presented at the National HISPC Conference in Bethesda MD in March 2009 and provides a powerful message about electronic health information technology and exchange and the related privacy and security aspects. Please feel free to use this video at any event where health care providers would benefit from awareness of these issues and how to tap in to the Provider Education Toolkit websites and resources.
